Fishing Report St. Marys, Georgia May 2016

The month of May has been a blast! The inshore bite is has picked up! We had several high profile clients last week that traveled from all around to come fish the Georgia Coast. Thanks to Jim Martin for coming all the way from Colorado to catch some redfish. On another trip, I got to meet up with Don Tyson an old bud that i grew up playing ball against.  Jared Whitaker, one of my college friends, also made the drive over for a great day on the water and also got to catch a stud Trout! The weeks leading up to this poured out bad conditions with a lot of rain and extremely high tides making the water very dirty. We focused on the first of outgoing water when it reaches its clearest point and worked through it.  We were able to find several good schools of redfish and Jacks on the flats. We headed near shore and hooked up with several big reds that got to smile for the camera and a few Big Tarpon but they didn’t want to turn themselves in. Enjoy the pics!
