Fishing Report St. Marys, Georgia 9/28/15
Fishing has finally gotten red hot this month! We are still catching a wide variety of fish including Redfish, Black Drum, Sheepshead, Trout, Jack Fish, Flounder and Tarpon. Over the last month we have dealt with a ton of fresh water from all the rain which has made the fish move around a little more than usual. Toward the end of this month we had super high tides which made sight fishing for Redfish the highlight. Majority of the reds took a floating soft plastic jerk shad with a weightless hook. The Flounder are being caught on homemade spinner bait with a 1/4 inch Tail Chaser jig head. The Tarpon are still running and the Bull Reds are starting to show up. As always the sharks are very aggressive and are working the bait pods hard. Top water plugs are still the go to bait early in the morning, which seem to attract the bigger trout. Big numbers of trout are still being caught off the beaches with live shrimp under a popping cork of jigs and gulp shrimp. Hope you enjoy the pics!
Always a good catch,
